All New FF7 Remake Info Revealed and Analysis + Upgradeable Weapons
25We got a ton of new final fantasy 7 remake content revealed today. New and exciting additions that were unknown up until now.
First and foremost lets dive right into the new weapons system that they have added to the remake. We are ultimately now able to upgrade our weapons. They have their own levels and within that they also offer different abilities. It has been confirmed that once these abilities have achieved 100% proficiency which is obtain by using the said ability. they can then be used regardless of the weapon that you have equipped. This is a throw back to FFIX where each piece of equipment had abilities and once mastered you could use those abilities even after switching equipment. This is a great addition being added to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and so far the most exciting addition for myself.
On the weapons selection menu you can also press triangle which then brings you to the upgrade screen where you have multiple cores that you can invest SP into. Gaining SP is based on your use of the weapon that you desire to upgrade. Upgrading your weapon offers a variety of different benefits whether it be stat related, abilities or the addition of more materia slots.
We have also been given the confirmation that Chocomog will return as Chocobo and moogle. The speciality attack for this summon is a stampede of chocobos which is completely fitting considering how goofy the summon is to begin with and its throw back to the original which either resulted in charge or a fat chocobo.
New materia has been added as well called assess. This was formly known as sense. Assess looks to be a far better sense and to have some actual use in the game giving us the abliity to see weaknesses, exp, ap, gil and items achievable.
We get a great look at inside aeriths house at her dining table and also a look at the outside which is far more impressive. This image of aeriths home is as stunning as ever and still baffles me how such a beautiful place can exist under the plate. I hope for some clarification on how exactly that is possible in the games narrative.
One of my favorite screen shots revealed is the look inside aeriths church and the beautiful flower bed. This has to be the best image we have received showing off the inside of the church. Very clear an incredible battle with someone has taken place here.
