The elongated body and increased ride height scream SUV, but the signature styling cues – rounded headlights, contrasting roof, upright windshield – keep it squarely a Mini. It's an eye-catching design that's also quite practical, with adult-friendly accommodations in both rows and a usable 450-liter cargo area.\n\nUp front, the Countryman maintains its eccentric Mini vibe. The oversized circular display sprouts from the dashboard like a futuristic mushroom, housing both the infotainment and digital instrument cluster. While novel, stuffing so many functions here proves a bit overwhelming. Some key controls, like the gearshift toggle, are also fiddly.
