To elaborate on my talk about non-linearity: For this game, I would have:
-Not sure if you can skip the Bow but I would want it to be used for at least one puzzle in the dungeon so the player can't skip it
-Put the Pegasus Boots in the Desert Palace since you need them to knock things over
-Drop the Book of Mudora since it's literally just a keycard and let the player enter the Desert Palace whenever
-Put the Ice Rod in the Tower of Hera and have it be able to freeze Moldorm, as well as at least one Ice puzzle the player must solve
-Put the Moon Pearl as an item you can't miss in Hyrule Castle
-Drop the Power Glove and just let Link lift white boulders by default

This makes it less likely the player will miss an important item and have to backtrack for it and let players do the first three dungeons in any order. Just a couple pet peeves of mine. Since LoZ has been doing the "collect three things, get Master Sword" formula a lot lately it makes sense to just let players get those three things in the order they please but Nintendo doesn't really do that when they could.
