Another bootsless seed?? I guess that more or less explains the slow time, despite early flute...
Did an early lumberjack cave check and saw the bow, which convinced me that this was an aga1 required seed. I actually did front of escape with the fire rod and sword in hand but decided to bail instead of doing dark cross because I accidentally killed the green guard in zelda's cell room so I couldn't death warp quickly. In the end this saved time since I could just come back and get the 3 chests in back of escape later using gloves, BUT this confused me for a long time because I didn't account for the flippers in my mental logic (they were in back of escape).
I "sequence broke" into waterfall cave using a moon pearl waterwalk, then used a splash delete to get the hookshot on zora ledge, so not having the flippers actually didn't slow me down at all (in fact I could have been fake flippered into IP, so really the only thing that I needed flippers for was SP.
I was still convinced at this point (not knowing where flippers was) that Aga1 was logically required and that I had sequence broken it. I figured that a glove was on pyramid ledge or PoD or something. PoD was very suspicious to me for this reason. However, after finding gloves in ToH, mitts from Village of Outcasts, and Lamp in TT, that was clearly incorrect. Was able to deduce from that that flippers HAD to be in back of escape, so that put me back at square one regarding PoD. I decided to check IP and dark world DM first, but still ended up going to PoD after that (mirror was in PoD).
Barely avoided a disaster as Kholdstare ALMOST killed me with the final ice block from the ceiling (phew).
I was relatively conservative through this seed -- I full cleared TOH and got all items in POD besides the one on helmasaur. In both cases it felt like I still needed a ton of stuff compared to the number of item locations left, so I decided to play it safe.
My main time loss was going into TR without the ice rod and praying that it would be in there (it wasn't). I couldn't quickly mentally determine how many checks I could do while still leaving my mirror warp on laser bridge ledge (answer: zero). Book and Quake ended up being in TR, so I checked ether tablet (the only thing I could check while still keeping my warp), and then ALMOST went on a wild goose chase through MM, but changed my mind and decided to check hammer pegs instead....phew.
Getting magic cape from ToH and half magic from Hobo made scary boss fights with green mail (mothula, kholdstare) almost trivial.
I think I did pretty decently here, besides the TR mistake (I do think that was a risk I would not have taken, if I had known the full consequences of failure). ToH and PoD were both forced dips here, and I managed to stay out of MM entirely.
