But let's look at the bright side: New weapon! If only it didn't suck...
Yes, this section opens with a new weapon, the bow, but it is terrible. Sure, you can shoot at enemies from a safe distance with it, but they will take a million hits before going down. As such, the bow's only purpose (for my playthrough) is puzzle solving. And one such puzzle is sitting at the entrance to a new dungeon.
Reptile's Lair can be tough if combat is not your strong suit, because enemies will be jumping all over the place as well as attacking from a distance. You'd think the bow would be great for this, but, um... It'll take you a while to go through.
Once this dungeon is done, it's time for one of the worst nightmares in the game (though very fitting given whose nightmare it is). You can go to Magyscar before entering Giles' dream for some extra lines with the villagers, if you're interested. Other than that, just go to his house and get ready to dislike Giles even more.
