AMD Listened - RX 9070 XT Price & Release Date
Alright, so Radeon. Let's be honest, a lot of their launches in the past have been a little bit rocky and if you've had your ears and nose to the ground, you might have seen this post from AMD as well effectively communicating, although apparently not officially, that RDNA 4 will now be quote-unquote delayed. I mean, they didn't technically give us a launch date, but I mean, let's be honest, there was a lot of information that apparently they're supposed to launch RDNA 4 at CES and it's kind of sounding like they got scared of Nvidia and decided not to go ahead and do that. I don't know if that's actually the case, but it's certainly not been a good look for Radeon and there's been a lot of people dunking on them online for this quote-unquote delay. But again, to be fair, it's not technically delayed and it actually might be for a good reason. Now, maybe I'm just huffing some serious copium here, guys, but we just got some information that AMD might be cooking up something for Radeon so good that you might just want to actually wait to see what they have to offer before making your decision on what next generation GPU you want to buy. So let's get into it. This actually all started with David McAfee who works for AMD, who responded to Hardware Unboxed and he said quote, "I really appreciate the excitement for RDNA 4. We are focused on ensuring we deliver a great set of products with the Radeon 9000 series. We're taking a little extra time to optimize the software stack for maximum performance and enable more FSR titles." And this was actually followed up with more information that comes from videocards.com where they stated that the Last of Us Part 1 would actually be getting AMD FSR 3.1 support and they were surmising that it might be prepping for FSR 4, but then the leaker Kepler over on Twitter responded to that saying that the RDNA 4 driver replaces FSR 3.1 with FSR 4.
