1,644AMD kinda sorted touted a "revolutionary new encoder" for their new Navi GPUs - the RX 5700 and RX 5700XT, but there's... a lot of problems with it. In this video I do a deep dive and quality analysis on the new H264 encoder, how it compares to Nvidia's NVENC and X264, as well as a look back at the RX 580's encoder. Buckle in.
