The intro sort of loops twice, once with music and once without, so included both.

Chose normal difficulty as it's closest to the original. A part of me wanted to play on higher difficulty so the arrows wouldn't show, making it more of a movie experience. But as I want to show as much as possible, I went with normal difficulty. Could have just as well gone with highest, wouldn't have made it much harder for me, but ye, wanted the arrows.

The games show different ending screens depending on the difficulty. I showed them all. Also included all the deaths + game over screen. I wanted to add a few black frames between each death, but would be too cumbersome, so just threw on a fade out/in effect instead (just noticed a couple of removed frames snuck in in a couple of places due to the fade). The bad thing about that is the last few frames will be dark cuz of the fade, and it's usually at the last frames the fun stuff happen :) Most of them end kinda abruptly, which doesn't make it better using a fade, but it's quick though.

One thing I don't like is the mirroring doesn't seem to take into account deaths. I manually mirrored some parts so the death fits with the FMV leading up to it (but text mirrored as well tho).

I was tempted to crop down to the ingame part, but didn't wanna resize the fullscreen images as they wouldn't look as good then.

TIMEGAL FOR AMIGA
PORT BY REIMAGINE GAMES

===================
The Story So Far...
===================
Luda, a criminal from the distant future, has stolen a time machine to reshape the past in his twisted image. Reika, an agent from Luda's time, must track him down to stop his evil plans!

============
Requirements
============
A stock or expanded CD32 should play this game just fine. For other Amigas,you'll need the following minimum:

- KickStart 2.0 ROM
- 1MB of free chipram (2MB total recommended)
- 68020
- 500MB of free HDD space, OR
- 2X CD-ROM drive

This game should run just fine from Workbench, but if you receive a memoryerror you may want to consider loading without a startup-sequence.

===========
How to play
===========
Similar to other LaserDisc games of the era, TimeGal features a simple control scheme that requires you to press the correct action (Up, down, left, right or fire) at the appropriate time.

Certain levels have "Time Stop" sequences, where you'll be given a few seconds to choose the correct one of three options. There's no way to get past these other than correctly guessing the appropriate action, so luck, intuition or trial-and-error is required.

=======
Options
=======

DIFFICULTY
----------

* Easy: You start with five lives.

* Normal: You start with five lives and levels are randomly mirrored. What thismeans is that all of the left-actions on previous attempts could now be right-actions, and vice versa. This mode is closest to the settings of the arcade original.

* Hard: You start with three lives and levels are randomly mirrored.

* Very Hard: You start with three lives, the levels are randomly mirrored, and you have no UI hints.

* Insane!: You start with one life, the levels are randomly mirrored, and you have no UI hints.

* Anime Mode: FMV games are often 'more fun to watch than to play'. With that in mind, the "Anime Mode" is an optimised viewing experience - you have infinite lives but all UI hints and scoring are disabled.

Note that all of the difficulty modes (except Anime) have their unique, special ending screens! Reika is a good sport and will respond accordingly to those brave souls that manage to master and complete the game in greater difficulties!

LEVEL ORDER
-----------
You can play through the levels in one of three orders:
- Arcade: Faithful to the original LaserDisc, the levels are in chronological order from the prehistoric to the futre.
- Sega: The same order as WolfTeam's Sega/Mega CD adaptation.
- Random: The first 15 levels are shuffled into a random order.

In each mode, including random, the final level is always the show down with Luda in 4001.

DEATH SEQUENCE
--------------
The original LaserDisc game features a sequence of the villain Luda finding amusement in TimeGal's misfortune everytime she dies.

This is disabled by default (DEATH SEQUENCE: NORMAL), but can be enabled by simply changing the option to DEATH SEQUENCE: EXTENDED.

No matter what option you choose, Luda will gloat at your demise at the Game-Over sequence!
