Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is a first-person survival/psycho horror adventure with a focus on avoiding enemies, physics-based exploration and puzzle solving, even more so than its predecessor Amnesia: The Dark Descent to which it is an indirect sequel.

The player assumes the role of Oswald Mandus, a wealthy industrialist in London who is supposed to be the great grand-nephew of Daniel, the protagonist of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Oswald Mandus explores the mysteries around a machinery on New Year's Eve 1899.
