This video shows a very easy way to set up the chairs and get through pretty much every time. I believe you have to actually hold the mouse button down when you click in order to get through with this method but I'm not entirely sure. Just make sure you are right in front of that foot, but not on the foot. Also if you are wondering how I had the 2nd chair in position already, I simply noclipped back to the start of the area.
