I review the AMX 50 100, a tier 8 French heavy tank in World of Tanks (WoT), with replays of tier 10 Glacier and tier 8 Steppes battles.

Prior to 2017, the 50 100 was regarded as an effective albeit finesse tank, but with the introduction of the over-armored tier 8 premium heavies and armor buffs in general from tiers 8-10, the 50 100 is more challenging to play with the current meta in 1.0.

Strengths and Weaknesses
+ Excellent gun depression (-9), unusual for an autoloader
+ Excellent silver AP penetration (232)
+ Excellent top speed (51)
+ Good acceleration
+ Good accuracy for an autoloader (0.36 base)
- Very long clip reload (~46.5 sec with Vents and BIA) creates long windows of downtime
- Long intra-clip reload (2.73 sec) means increased exposure when dumping your clip
- Long aim time (3 sec base) exceeds intra-clip reload, so you have to equip your tank and slot BIA accordingly
- Poor armor
- Low HP (1400)
