Iron Fist was released back in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. That was a cool ability, but where is the version of it for kicking moves? In this video, explore why and create one.

The goal of the video was to create a counterpart to Hitmonchan's Iron Fist, since Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan were originally a pair. Similar to how Zacian and Zamazenta are thematic counterparts, with thematic abilities that are also counterparts. This video is by popular viewer request, so while competitive play might be referenced, this is not a competitive viability video.

As explained in the video, I read the move data for every single move in English and Japanese. English because it's one of the languages I'm fluent in, and Japanese because that is the base language and culture of the series. All of Pokémon as we know it in English is derivative of its original form in Japan. In each of my videos, I research the topic thoroughly and support my arguments with data (be it game data or dialogues). I am very deliberate with what is fact and what is an educated guess. I include sources in the link section at the bottom of the description.

I say this with the utmost politeness: It's okay to not know or understand something. At the same time, if your comment seems extremely uninformed, I'm not obligated to answer, and probably won't.

For example, I made a video all about how Iron Fist ability works and what moves count as punches in the code. It was clearly stated in the video that the games are made in Japan, and the determination of "punch" or "not a punch" is based on the Japanese names and descriptions. We can't just use English. I specifically explained in the video, that Sucker Punch isn't a punch and why it isn't. After all of that, I've had people try to comment that Sucker Punch should count as a punch. I have 0 reason to answer comments like that. The video reasonably addresses the topic, and so does Google. I'm not interested in repetition, and would much rather move onto the next topic with people that can be bothered to watch the video, or actually do some research rather than argue based on personal feelings.

Feel free to use the mechanics or ideas for Pokémon Mods, Romhacks, or even your own game. It's a common enough idea that I wouldn't try to claim ownership of something anyone would come up with.
