With all the hype surrounding Final Fantasy 14 at the moment it even swept me up and decided to make a new character and follow the game's storyline. Everyone says that FF XIV's story is not only a great story when it comes to MMO's, but a great story for games in general. Those are some large shoes to fill and most abide that the great storytelling begins with the expansions, but to understand everything one still has to go through the weakest part in the form of "a Realm Reborn". Luckily by now I have tackled that storyline and have taken care of the Ultima Weapon. In this review we will look at both the post-credit content for A Realm Reborn and the core Heavensward content. Though Patch 2.1 - 2.55 are still technically part of A Realm Reborn they are so drastically different and leaning towards the story and plot of Heavensward that I feel they fit better in this review. Luckily the game pretty much improves on all aspects with better story, better dungeons and bosses, better music and overall a better experience. This is truly the point where Final Fantasy 14 starts to show it's true colors and we have yet two other expansions to tackle from here on out!
