An Ode to Colour
Visual Description: A woman stands in front of the camera. She wears a Piet Mondrian-inspired dress of black, red, yellow, blue, and white. She wears her hair in braids that cascade into butterfly hairclips, and which is topped with a crown of yellow sunflowers. She wears a green-coloured sweater, a different shade from her green background. She wears blue-rimmed eyeglasses that help her to see as she reads from a piece of printer paper, and wears red lipstick on her lips, which speak the words on the page into the air.
Description: I wrote "An Ode to Colour". It's a poem about colour. I'm thankful for the many ways that it paints the world vivid and enhances my life.
Context Note: I wrote and recorded this on Thanksgiving day, 2024. It's meant to show something that I'm thankful for, and not intended to disparage people with vision-related disabilities.
