One thing you should ALWAYS do if you're cast in a 'Deferred: Profit Share' Role
Visual Description: On the left-hand side of the screen there is a screenshot from the website "Casting Call Club" with identifying project information blotted out in MS Paint. It shows a role with "Deferred: Profit Share" listed as the payment type. There's webcam footage of the woman making this video on the right-hand side of the screen. She's dressed in black, and wears blue-rimmed eyeglasses that help her to see. She also has on a pair of headphones adorned with a cloth handkerchief, and there is a pop filter in the foreground. She's surrounded by a wooden picture frame. A photograph of a field of dandelions has been used as an overall background layer, filling in any blank spots on the screen while providing branding continuity.
Description: I have been getting back into voice acting again, and wanted to make a video warning folks of a potential pitfall. If you are cast as a "Deferred: Profit Share" role, you should ALWAYS negotiate terms before you submit your lines. Get your agreement in writing. Once your lines are submitted, you've lost the negotiating leverage that you had. Look out for yourself.
