Ancient - A well optimised map?
13,364I was pleasantly surprised when I benchmarked Ancient and found performance on the map to be actually pretty good... and REALLY good, on a good PC.
PCS USED:
Ryzen 2200G CPU + Vega 8 GPU
16 GB RAM 3200 Mhz
Ryzen 3700X CPU + Geforce 3080 10 GB GPU
32 GB RAM 3200 Mhz
I tried to CPU limit the game at low settings, and GPU limit it at high.
HIGH SETTINGS
For the 3700X / 3080 PC, 'High setting' meant 5120x2880 resolution, 4x MSAA and everything on highest settings (But not FXAA).
For the 2200G, I set it to 1920x1080 resolution, 4x MSAA and everything on highest settings (But not FXAA).
Both PCs had texture streaming and multicore rendering on.
LOW SETTINGS
Both PCs were run at 1280x720, lowest settings, bilinear filtering. I kept texture streaming and multicore rendering on.
I used Frameview, I got an average framerate
