Time to finish this chapter off and ice Robert...you know, if I wasn't greeding beyond normal limits for one of the villages and had to pull some very interesting maneuvers to be able to take out Robert before he deleted someone.

Speaking of Robert...he's pretty bulky and packs the Triangle Adept skill, doubling the effects of the weapon triangle (So 2 damage and 30% hit, probably more with reaver weapons). Being mounted though means he's going to fold hard in the face of Hailey or Kurt with a Hunting Bow. If Angelus is nearby, either one can probably send Robert to the afterlife without much hassle.

As for the villages, starting from the one nearest the armory and going counter-clockwise, there's a Barrier staff, Body Ring, Brave Bow (the one village I was greeding HARD for), Blue Gem, Silver Axe, and Zanbato up for grabs.

Also of note is that I early promoted Lilinette towards the end of the last video. I really wanted her to have a way to fight back and not be locked to healing for exp only. Thankfully, her Valkyrie promotion is strong with stat bonuses of +5 hp, +3 mag, and +2 to skl, spd, def, and res on top of access to light magic. Even early promoted at lv12, she's got good enough offensive bases to help out if needed and good res if she wants to bait in a magic user.

After the fight, Baud tries to gets some answers out of Robert before he passes away from his wounds, but he doesn't get much of anything besides confirming that this was all on orders from Randall. That just leaves the mystery of exactly who told Randall about Aylanda's identity. Most likely it's someone sending a message via something like a carrier pigeon or even a Pegasus Knight. The only matter is who's doing it at this point.

After some of the usual introductions from the newly recruited party members, Baud talks with Jakka. He slew his uncle and now basically is a traitor to the crown as is his whole army. The only logical option at this point is to head back to Holtmeier and take a boat out of the country.

As for Aylanda, her morale is at an all time low. Baud being forced to kill his uncle and labeled a traitor...and she feels it's all her fault. Soon enough, an elderly Swordmaster by the name of Albert steps out of one of the villages (Who I should also mention was this chapter's secret event).

Albert feels Aylanda's pain, but tries to cheer up by telling her about her family of Lightbringers. If she dies, the hopes and dreams of the people of Aurora go with her...and the demons would rise once more. Only she could stand up as a beacon of hope for others to put their faith into.

As she leaves, Albert lets loose a rather interesting fact...that he knew Aylanda's father Kaethis and vows to protect her until his last breath. He then mentions an event that he's so sorry about that involves Kaethis. Potentially was an accomplice to his death and helped Thorgrim in some way?

Chapter 9's next and oh boy am I excited for this one. You'll see next time.
