Not much else needs to be said about turn 3 other than Kurt basically ending up stuck at the Spirit Dust house's location for a majority of the rest of the chapter.

Oh yes, and Fred engaging Hubert in combat while Colter has a talk with Rodd. Turns out Rodd can agree to put aside whatever differences he has with Colter and help Baud's army clean up the town by joining the army.

Rodd can be best thought of as the Mercenary version of Hailey, but without the innate crit rate boost. He wants to be a player phase unit due to his Cheap Shot personal skill boosting damage by 6 when he initiates combat.

Growth wise, his best ones are in the three stats he wants the most (str, skl, spd). Low luck & defenses though so you need to be careful if you plan to use him. I won't be since Hailey's just far superior, but I may be bringing Rodd to chapter 13 for one reason, we shall see.

Once turn 4 comes up, that's when the wrench for this chapter is thrown in. A whole bunch of axe cavaliers show up in the eastern quarter of the map, some of whom are promoted. Among them are two named units in the southeast (Henry & Ariel) as well as this chapter's secret event showing up in the northeast, Magnus.

Magnus is one lucky fellow. He only has a Devil Axe for a weapon, but his luck is high enough that he completely cancels out the reversal effect, making him a dangerous fellow to engage. He'll drop a Goddess Icon when he eventually gets taken out.

Turn 4 is also when Baudimon is close enough to talk to Harriet and have her join his army.

With several characters already proficient in staff use like Aylanda, Mortimer, and Lilinette, Harriet seems a bit unneeded. That's why she brings something unique to the table...her personal skill Staff Mastery. This grants all staves she wields 1 extra range, including those that are naturally only 1 range.

That aside, her bases are pretty solid aside from def. Low str/spd/def/hp growths, but good everywhere else.

That's not all Harriet's good for though. She can visit the infirmary to her southeast. This gives her a big chunk of exp and a Hammerne staff. Only one use, but it still means repairing whatever item you choose to full durability.

Oh, and those of you liking near death experiences will get a kick out of what happens to her in front of the infirmary. Totally thought the Rogue would off the Mortimer clone first/

That just leaves talking about the enemy squadron from the east & southeast. Henry & Ariel lead the group. Henry himself is pretty chunky in terms of offensive stats, but gets clapped pretty easily by effective weaponry.

Ariel though? Victoria's reason for being here is solely because she can recruit Ariel. Took a bit of effort though that required taking Fred's weapons away so she wouldn't off herself stupidly.

Ariel may be locked to axes, even after she promotes, but she brings the right stats to properly use them such as high str & con. Because the female mounted aid formula is so silly, Ariel's going to have a very limited selection of people she can actually rescue though...which goes completely out the window after she promotes.

Pretty solid growths all around save for mag & res and a useful personal skill in Heavy Strikes, granting crit equal to the weight of the weapon currently equipped.

Not much else happens besides making sure to save every house in the area. Lots of goodies such as a Master Seal, Brave Lance, Blue Gem, and Axereaver.

After the map ends, we see Randall finding out what happens when he gives anyone not named Gustav access to the treasury. He literally just found out about Dawncaller not being there now. Capital!

The karmic counterbalance to that comes when Galahad arrives at the castle. He does not look like the kind of guy anyone wants to run into lemme tell you. He also refuses to use his Steel Knight squadron to silence Baud for good, angering Randall. Guy just keeps taking Ls I swear!

More next time!
