Another chat gaiden here, but there are a couple interesting people to chat with. Samuel seems to despise Aylanda for being a Lightbringer, even going as far as to say he'd do anything to keep his nephew Theodor safe. Anyone's BS signals going off at this remark cause it sure is for me!

The other rather interesting one is Kurt. He speaks a bit about his backstory of how he was a noble of a certain house in Andaron and was nearly killed in a fire set by his sons. To what end they would go that far is unknown, but it's a pretty harrowing tale to hear regardless.

Since this gaiden is set in Silvermist, you can access its shops to grab anything important you want. I just sold a Blue Gem and grabbed a pair of Hand Axes and an Iron Bow for the convoy.

When you're ready, exit to the northeast where Baudimon starts to have a bit of a private conversation with Aylanda. He mentions how he doesn't want to lose the one he loves, heavily implying he's fallen in love with Aylanda, but before it can go any further, Theodor comes riding in.

Now, we've seen how much Theodor despises Baudimon, thinking he's a womanizer intent on stealing Aylanda from him. It's no different here, but his attitude seems even more forced on the matter. That's when the reason kicks in...he's drunk. Listening to reason goes completely out the window at this point and he attacks Baudimon, nearly hitting Aylanda in the process.

Theodor's response to all this? Clearly the sword didn't work so he's going to turn Baudimon into a burning corpse. Baud takes a pretty nasty hit, but he knocks some sense into Theodor....a little too good. Not only does he knock Theodor out, he damn near cuts his WHOLE ARM OFF!

In a rush, Baud & Aylanda get him back to town where Samuel is none too happy to find out what happened. To say he's furious with Baud is underselling it. Sam & Aylanda take Theo to Ayla's house while Jakka takes Baud over to Lilinette to get the burn wound patched up.

The next morning, Sam announces he's taking Theo back to House Rose whose healers might just be able to fully restore functionality to his arm. Long story short, neither character will be available for the next chapter.

Baud heads over to Ayla's house to apologize for what he did and to comfort Ayla. She's as shaken up about what just happened as Baud is. It hasn't dulled Baud's love for Ayla though and he says as much, saying he wants to do everything in his power to protect her.
