For once, not much needs to be said at the start. Tendaris needs to be saved, simple as that. To succeed in that task requires defeating Illrodan & Adrian. Illrodan's in the northwest while Adrian's in the northeast.

The biggest challenge of this chapter isn't so much killing the two bosses, but the fact you need to keep Tendaris alive & ensure no enemies take the throne.

Thankfully for him, he gets assistance in the form of his elite Drakeguard squad consisting of two Dragoons, a Sage, and a Swordmaster. The secret lunatic objective extends the requirement to keep Tendaris alive to the entire Drakeguard squad as well. Luckily, they're not green units so you're able to move them to intercept enemies as you see fit.

While all the elite Drakeguards have growths and can gain levels, they won't be around after this chapter. Tendaris though will be available!

Tendaris is every bit the fearsome combatant he's been hyped up to be. Unlike Manaketes from the GBA games such as Fae & Myrrh, his base Dragonstone has infinite uses so he doesn't eventually become useless. He does bring two other weapons for his use in the Magicstone (deals magic damage) and Royalstone (dragon effective weapon). Both have limited uses so use them only when the situation calls for it.

Growth wise....well, his lowest growth by a decent margin is luck...at 60%. Everything else is 75% or greater. Three of those growths even break triple digits (hp, def, res).

If there's any weakness, it's that Tendaris only has 5 move. Giving him a pair of Boots will remedy that right up though.

If his combat prowess wasn't already amazing enough, he's also got a great personal skill in Blood Tide. Any adjacent units will get +10% to their hit and +5 damage.

The question remains though...how do you take out the bosses quickly? Shay proves to be immensely useful once again with Rescue staff spam...and there's a chest in the southeast with a fresh copy of it to boot. Her primary goal is to get Ashe over to the eastern side of the map for one special reason.

That reason? If she's fielded here, she summons Flame Wisps. Sadly, two thirds of them are going to die instantly. That's not the special reason because she gets one other boon here...Meteor. Yes, the very same one she was trying to conjure in chapter 20.

As the stats indicate...it's going to quite literally delete a target. It does disappear after this chapter so no holding on to it for a rainy day. That just leaves one question...which boss to use it on?

The answer to that is an easy one...Adrian. He's got a personal weapon in Trishula which is a Flame Lance with a brave effect attached and a high crit rate. Very high stats across the board too with a couple personal skills. Dragonsblood, the Dragoon's personal skill, is +5 damage when the user is below max hp. Adrian's personal skill Pragmatic is +5 damage and takes 5 less damage for himself if the opponent is not at max hp.

Once Adrian gets flatlined by Ashe's Meteor tome, he drops a Dragonshield. This will cause Illrodan to get enraged and start moving...but not towards Tendaris likes he claims he'll kill with his own hands, oh no. He's going to beeline for the closest unit he can attack which is very likely your western party. He drops a Holy Symbol upon his defeat.

For what it's worth, Illrodan's personal skill is Apprehension. Nothing fancy condition wise, just a flat -4 damage taken in combat.

The secret event of this map occurs when groups of four reinforcements pop up in the southwest & southeast. A Dragoon appears from the staircase in the north-central part of the map. He's actually just as dangerous as Adrian thanks to having the physical counterpart to Trishula, the Master Lance. He'll drop said weapon on his defeat.

Oh yeah, I suppose Apollo spawns at the start on turn 8. He hands over an Eternal Seal if he's alive at the end of the chapter.

Treasure wise, besides the Rescue staff from the southeast chest, there's a Hammerne in the southwestern chest, a Flame Sword in the western one, and a Fiery Chant in the eastern one.

Ashe & Shay were the MVPs of this run. The latter due to Rescue spam to get Ashe into range to nuke Adrian. Ashe herself was able to one round the Master Lance Dragoon at the very last minute thanks to a needed crit.

After the battle ends...well, do NOT double cross Tendaris. He can and will roast your corpse.

As for helping out with taking down Mortimer...Tendaris needs time to get Timaet back into a stable position, but he promises that they will assist when the time's right. He's a chill dude, simple as that.

More next time!
