Andromeda Conquest - A Piece of History - Entry 1/2
9Welcome, my friends, to 1982's Andromeda Conquest, by Avalon Freaking Hill. This is one of the first video games ever to feature galactic conquest on a large scale, basically one of the earliest -- if not the earliest -- space 4X game I could find. It runs in BASIC for chrissakes, and was available on DOS, Apple, Atari, Commodore and freaking Radio Shack computers back in the day. In this first entry, I fight what is indeed the most basic of interfaces, so much so that I break the game twice. I eventually find my footing a bit, but is it enough to make it through another entry? We'll find out!
