0The giant white chapel was the best part of the expansion. Especially with the upside down section and the arena where I fight a shambler, some knights and a few Vores. I love it.
But of course there is another fucking sewer. Why does MachineGames insist for there to be another sewer??
However another great level has gotta be the space section and how it's a more creatively made tech base. Teases you with a big battle that I can just bypass through in case I'm feeling froggy. But the look of the map is just a chef's kiss. Mwah!
But nah the warehouse level sucks. The murder rooms, traps I can't avoid and platforming while being attacked by spongey nights, Ogres and Vores. Awful.
I then meet Chthon again in a more tougher arena. So tough I couldn't use a Quad Damage until my last strike and I softlocked myself when I was at 2 HP. Maybe provide a better exit for the final boss MachineGames. Or reward me health after bearing the boss. Just a thought.
But yeah this expansion was a Rollercoaster and I am done with the entirety of Quake 1. I may try that X-Men game for Quake but it's not really good. I got only one more official expansion to touch upon and its for Q2. And it gets tougher.
