0Back to the original Quake. Developed by Hipnotic Software, known for their game, SiN for the Quake II Engine and a Star Trek game for the Quake 3 engine.
The early tech base levels were kind of a maze to get through around. It took me a while to figure out where to go when I played the first few levels. But eventually going forward the maps stop being confusing and somewhat understandable to go around.
Anyways we get our first few weapons, a Laser Cannon and a proximity launcher. Sorta better than Quake II's..
And in this first chapter we meet a Scorpion creature that fires nails. Best I use the rocket launcher for my own convenience.
Also going forward with these Quake 1 expansions I'll be using quicksaves. Saves me time and frustration.
