ANIMAL CROSSING 5 STAR RATING - HOW TO GET 5 STAR ISLAND RATING - Unlock the golden watering can!!
73Stuggling to go from a 3 to a 5 star island rating in Animal Crossing New Horizons? Do you want to max out your island's potential & unlock the goldwatering can (and those sweet gold roses)? It might seem like the rating never changes but it's so easy to get there & I'll show you how in this quick tutorial & don't forget to check out my other Animal Crossing New Horizons tips for new players!
There are a few key things you need to do for that Animal Crossing 5 star island rating so come with me on my Animal Crossing island tour as I explain the steps you need to take:
1 - Get the max amount of villagers - You need to have obtained the full amount of 10 villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons to get the ball rolling on that 5 star rating. 7 was enough to push me up to 3 stars but a maxed out neighbourhood is what you'll need to take that rating further.
2 - Plant & breed flowers - Plant flowers everywhere and use the checkerboard pattern to encourage them to create hybrid flowers in the gaps between. By planting two flowers of the same type next to each other, leaving a gap of one space inbetween them, you can breed those flowers provided you water them daily and hope for the best. These hybrid flowers come in rare colours and are key to pushing up your island star rating.
3 - Decorations all over the island - Decorate every corner of your island, leave no stone unturned. Try to spread out your decorations and continually add to them until the you get that 5 star rating from Isabelle, ensuring you have decorations all over the island and not just confined to one area will really help.
4 - Completely connect your island - Place bridges and inclines to every unreachable area on your island. In the simplest terms make your island completely accessible for your villagers (as they do not use polevaults and ladders... I've never seen them use them anyway...)
5 - FENCES! - Fences are way more important than most people realise, use fences to give every villager a garden, section of areas on your island, create fences around attrations and places that you build. PUT FENCES EVERYWHERE!
That's it, it really is that simple to unlock the golden watering can and reach a 5 star island rating in Animal Crossing New Horizons! If you follow the steps in this video and keep adding the above mentioned things when it feels like you're not making any progress then you'll have that animal crossing 5 star rating in no time!
