Gekh Coal is back from the dead and ready to show us the Animate Dead spell to create a small zombie army.

The twist in this video though is that the zombie army isn't completely made from your usual humanoid, but partly from myconids as well!

The Animate Dead spell is not available to your character or your companions because it is a level 3 spell, which are only available when your character is level 5. To access this you need to use Glut to raise Gekh Coal, after having killed Gekh Coal, and use the reanimating spore ability.

You only get one use of Animate Dead because there is currently no way to get a long rest with Gekh Coal in Baldur's Gate 3, so his spell slots cannot replenish. If you're lucky, or if you plan ahead of time, you might get two uses of Animate Dead if you kill Gekh Coal before he can use it in a fight.

Do keep in mind that Baldur's Gate 3 is still in early access and so the features shown in the video are subject to change and the game is incomplete, so expect more to be added to the game in the future. At time of recording the game was still in Early Access Patch 4, and by the time of the full release of Baldur's Gate 3 this method may have changed.
