๐ป Animation Throwdown โ Carter Melee Day 2 ๐ป
Welcome back to Day 2 of the Carter Melee in Animation Throwdown! After a strong start on Day 1 with a hybrid Hyper + Drunk deck, today Iโm making some adjustments to deal with the real threat: PC walls at higher levels. ๐ช
As opponents start stacking powerful PC-heavy decks, Hyper's early aggression starts to fall short โ so Iโm shifting the focus toward Drunk combos that pack a punch with the Back Slap skill. This new ability has been surprisingly effective in breaking through PC stacks and turning the tide in tougher matchups.
With Back Slap, I can chip down stubborn PC lines while still dishing out respectable damage. Combine that with utility from classic Drunk combos, and it creates a more stable and tactical approach for Day 2 battles.
Whatโs new in todayโs deck strategy:
๐ Reduced reliance on Hyper aggro
๐ป Increased use of Drunk combos built around synergy and sustain
๐ Back Slap plays for countering multi-PC setups
๐ฅ Maintaining Punch and Burn elements for key one-shots when openings arise
In this video, Iโll break down:
Live gameplay from Day 2 of the Carter Melee
How Back Slap is performing against stacked PC decks
Combo choices and deck edits since Day 1
Match-by-match commentary on wins, losses, and what to expect moving forward
If youโre pushing into the mid-to-high melee brackets, this day is critical for adjusting your deck. Hopefully, this video helps you find your balance between aggression and utility!
๐ฌ Drop a comment and let me know what combos are working best for you! Are you all-in on Drunk for Day 2? Or still leaning on Hyper power?
