Anime is an art form and Japanese artist Takashi Murakami proved it. He wrote a theory that tells us all the facts and history behind anime. In a nutshell: anime reacts to the circumstances it is produced in. This video essay is an overview of the art movement “Superflat” and what it all means for the rest of the world.
