229Another Brick in the Mall takes us into the world of commerce, where we have to build a shopping paradise to make some fine profits! Can we create the world's greatest shopping destination?
We start a new game and we choose to have our staff require food and 'comfort breaks'. Because why not?! Also, we set shoplifting to 'mild', which doesn't sound so bad but it's still illegal. Don't do it kids!
Our first building is a simple store, stacking some essential but simple products. After some minor technical issues with shelf placement and then a delivery drop-off zone, we get the little store up and running.
Our plans to build a neighbouring fast food restaurant are scuppered by the realisation that we need to research restaurants (not wholly sure why we don't know what restaurants are), so we construct an office, which potentially is massively oversized, and employ some office staff to get researching!
Oh, and I get quite excited by floor tiles. Love floor tiles.
