Today will be released new update 1.0.4 and i will have enough data to compare how new buffed chests will influence our experience, but for now let's take a look at what you could get in 1.0.3. build if you would play heart of rage for hundreds of runs. I started my tests on march 16 and finished today.
During all my 305 runs on average each run i got 4.4 blue, 16.4 purple, 1.8 masterwork and 0.2 legendary items, which basically means that every 5 runs i got 1 legendary item. On average i got almost 23 drops per run and in total i had almost 7000 drops, sample size should be enough even considering that chance of getting Legendary items is 0.9% - 1 legendary from 110 drops on average. I had to pick up 21.2 blue, 79.4 purple and 8.9 masterwork items for each legendary item. I will check to see by how much chests in strongholds are buffed as now i have a reliable data to compare with. Let me know how many legendary items per hour in very long runs and i mean like in 100 hours or so you get, and what are activities that bring you most legendary drops in long run, but to me it seems that heart of rage on grandmaster 1 is still one of the best ways to farm legendary items, at least results were consistent during my 10 day testing period. Today new update will be released with legendary missions, vanity chests, stronghold bosses can drop legendary items now and buffed chests in strongholds as well as in freeplay.
