Greetings fellow test subjects,
Test Subject 1337 here for Aperture Gaming. They make it, we test it, you play it.

I want to apologize for my previous Aperture Review. It was labeled as a BOSS review, when it wasn't meant to be. Double Dragon was played on the Switch, but it IS, in fact, also on the Steam platform.

In this video, I talk about the nonsense move by Ubisoft, upcoming other reviews, and It's time to Blow Off Some Steam with a BOSS Review. This review is a follow up and score update to the game we do not mention: The Lord of the Rings Gollum.

The game received a patch update, Patch 2.2, on 7/27/23, over two months after the game first came out. While the patch was a big one that addressed a lot of issues, I was unhappy to find out the visual for the main character is still flawed. We need four or five more patches to get this thing up to snuff. And a possible refund and a lot of free stuff.

I feel bad the studio that worked on this axed 1/3 of it's staff, but it would have made more sense to keep them on to try to work on the patches. They might be the running for Worst studio of the year along with Ubisoft.

The two months take off two points, and the fact the game still looks bad takes off one more. I'm sorry to award this game a 4 out of 10. Do NOT buy, avoid until it's patched, and then at best, only go with rental. Only buy if the price is discounted down to $10-ish.

I have a lot of games I am / Was looking forward to, as I was looking forward to this one. And now after this belly flop, I am now worried by a few titles. All I can do now is hope for the best but prep for the worst.
