Bedtop once again! Yesterday the idea for an aperture out of Lego came to mind, after looking up a schematic I got to work trying all kinds of different approaches. Finally I came to this one which works the best!
There are two rings. The outer where the actual blades are attached, and the inner ring is what's turned to accurate the thing through individual links.
Unique to my approach is the fact this uses links instead of slotted holes, that's why the inner ring is floating. Side note, the more blades and links might contain the ring more since that's the only way it is attached.
