Apple is skipping the AI hype train, for better or worse.
In May, Verge workers began placing bets on how many times "AI" would be referenced on stage five minutes into Google's I/O conference. Every presenter looked to be under pressure from Sundar Pichai to say it at least once or risk getting a cattle prod. (Ultimately, we gave up and did a supercut.) The book, however, ran in the opposite direction while watching WWDC: would anyone from Apple even mention "AI"? In fact, not even once, it seems. #iphone #apple #shorts
