(APRIL FOOLS DAY 2020) Slim Plays Minesweeper

Hello everybody, SlimKirby here, and welcome to my new Let's Play! I know it seems pretty unorthodox to start a new let's play like this, but we're in a brand new month, and I felt like we needed something full of action to get this month moving strong. Plus, this is a game that I would feel quite the fool to never cover on my channel in some way, so I hope you guys enjoy what I have in store!
I would also love to give a special shout-out to my good friend Bowser2Queen for being a huge inspiration for my brand new channel icon that I think really capitalizes on all the core characteristics and personality traits I exhibit here in my videos!

This video was my April Fools Day prank for 2020. I haven't done one of these in awhile, but felt kind of inspired to do one this year, so I figured "why not? Let's have a little fun this year!"
The idea for this actually came from a discussion I had with my friend Bowser2Queen/Bowsergirl. We were playing Super Kirby Clash together on the Switch and she showed me the icon of the incredibly derpy Kirby that you see in the video's outro. I think the original image is absolutely hilarious and whenever we play the game together, I can't help but laugh my butt off at how derpy he looks...especially when you consider it's "official, in-game artwork" XD. At one point I suggested that on April Fools Day I would change all of my profile pictures on all of my channels and social media accounts to that derpy Kirby picture, but with the SlimKirby touch of adding sunglasses to it, and Bowsergirl encouraged me to go along with it....and here we are! xD
That was the main idea anyway. As far as Minesweeper was concerned, that was just a bonus implementation I decided to do in addition to everything else I was doing. Seemed easy enough...start a Let's Play with a my usual informative set-up, talk about how it was a huge undertaking and how it was years and years into the planning stage, just for the actual LP to be over in 1/20 of the time it took to set-up. =P I didn't expect to be a massive prank or joke or anything...just something fun and harmless to get a few giggles out there and just have fun with. I even decided to keep my derpy icon for a few extra days.
Who knows, I might ACTUALLY play Minesweeper at some point in the future, but for now, I'm pretty satisfied with how this came out! =P
