Those alien bastards are at it again, overrunning the EDF and taking control of their military bases. Now Duke has to fight his way through entire armies and steal back submarines to eventually make his way towards the island prison to make it to IO.

Today we have something pretty special: three maps made by Ben Roffelsen that are widely considered to be some of the first fan-made maps created for Duke Nukem 3D. In fact the first map is listed as created in 1995...an entire year before the base game was released. Whether this is correct or a typo is unknown.

So how do these maps hold up by today's standards? In my opinion, pretty well actually. The design is fine, there's tough fights around every corner, and there's plenty of health and ammo to deal with all your problems. My only real complaint is that the exit for level 3 doesn't work. But it's still an honor to play such old maps!
