The adventure continues to reach the pinnacle of top mage by beating down rival mages immune to nearly all forms of magic! No weapons used - this is a purely magical showdown.

The fight begins by activating a sphere around the Windhelm/Kynesgrove area. Followers don't enter the area, but my animal companion at least could join the fight and take the pressure off me. The fight took roughly 20 minutes, so I cut out 5 minutes near the end because Samel hid in a corner like a little bitch and there weren't any summons that could both withstand his spells and hit him for more damage than he could heal off.

There's a lot going on in this fight, so here are the mods that contributed to this battle:
-The Tree Dragon is a boss from this mod - defeating the dragons allow you to summon them in battle. The best part is that while they are very strong, your magic attacks actually do damage to them, so they are not nearly as annoying to fight as the human bosses.
-The Ebony Giant summon is from defeating the fight in Colorful Magic. The Giant spawns in the Forgotten Vale while doing the Dawnguard quests.
-The resurrection is the granted ability from the Galduur Amulet from the mod "Reliquary of Myth - Artifact Overhaul"
-The set outfit is from the mod "Daedra of Coldharbour." The main buff is reducing all damage taken by half.
-And finally, the friendly level 68 Mammoth is a combination of the mod "High Level Enemies" with "Tame the Beasts of Skyrim."

Note: Holy Bolt from the Forgotten Magic mod is one of the few spells that actually work to damage these mages, which is why I use it to finish him off. Curses like Iron Maiden from the Triumvirate mod work as well, but the AI is smart enough not to kill itself while under the ability. Outside of that, I couldn't find anything that actually damages these guys outside of summons with melee/bow attacks.
