1,969What would a Main List completion by me be without something crazy happening... This original completion recording bugged and didn't record my microphone, forcing me to rebeat the level, which you can watch below.
2 weeks ago, I had my girlfriend (who doesn't know anything about GD) watch 4 levels and choose one at the end to be my 300th Extreme Demon. I put two levels I wanted to play and two levels I didn't want to play to spice things up. She ended up choosing this, leading me here! I can't say I expected to beat this before the end of September, but based on how I feel about the level, I'm very glad that I did.
Arcturus is such a weird level. Pretty much every part is just a little bit below average and none of those parts were too much for me to deal with (outside of their difficulty) because the level is so short that you get a ton of attempts at them. The ship starting at 44% was by far the most fun part of the level for me and was the only one I truly enjoyed. My ship skill definitely translated well to it because it was really fun to grind consistency at. The mini wave right before, starting at 32%, is BY FAR the worst and hardest part. This one part brought the entire level down for me and made every part more frustrating because, by the end of my time playing this level, so many attempts reached the mini wave and dying after it sucked so much. It truly brings the level down like 20-30 points of enjoyment and also makes it like 20-30 spots harder on the list.
Overall, I'm just very glad I was able to make quick enough work of this. Outside of the recording issues, my experience with this was pretty good.
