0Front Mission 3 is a turn-based #mech (wanzers) #RPG game from the #PSX era. We view the battle area from an isometric perspective and have some control of the camera. I had no PSX back in the day and usually had to borrow it from friends. Because of that, I could not enjoy some of its most iconic titles. Time to make up for that!
Front Mission 3 looks decent even after all these years. The explosions and sound effects are engaging and fun. The stages are relatively empty, but that isn't a problem. We can choose what our Wanzer will be equipped with. It is an RPG, after all! The number of AP (Action Points) dictates how many squares we can move to get into an effective rage to attack our opponents.
As for the story, we can smell some political intrigue for miles! An armored group steals radioactive materials from an Alaskan lab that belongs to an organization called USN. People speaking Russian are talking about a plan of some sort… Fast forward a few months, and we start in the shoes of Kazuki Takemura, an employee working for Kirishima Industry which manufactures mechs. During one of the transports, an explosion rattles the base of our contrahent - the Japan Defense Force. After evacuating, we discovered our sister was transferred to THAT exact base. We have yet to determine if she is ok. Will we act against the law to check if our sister did not get injured in the accident?
