ARKANOID - DOH IT AGAIN (SNES - GAME + ENDING)
20Zeus presents Arkanoid - Doh It Again (un-emulated) for the Snes, a true classic from the golden era of Snes gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1997
I loved the original 2 Arkanoid games on the 128k Spectrum so always wanted a third game to come out for it, sadly it never happened.
However, fast forward to 1997 in the Snes world and we are greeted with a third installment entitled Doh It Again.
The game it'self is pretty playable, I don't actually like the same boss appearing every 10 or so levels as to me it got boring, I'd rather have one big boss at the end and maybe a sub-boss half way through.
Also I personally never liked the sound of the Snes sound chip, many games I played on it never had music that really fitted that particular game imo and this game is no different, I just don't like the music.
Playability wise is fine and with 100 levels you are not going to finish it in a hurry, far too many levels imo, the usual 33 which was standard in the previous Arkanoid games would have been fine I feel, so withthis said I recorded the first 33 levels followed by the bosses at the end plus the end sequence.
All in all a good breakout game but I will always prefer the originals on the 8 & 16-bit computers.
