Armed Police Batrider - Classic Arcade Shoot 'Em Up (Eighting/Raizing 1998)
A classic arcade shoot 'em up with a dystopian theme, Armed Police Batrider was developed and published by Eighting/Raizing, and first launched to arcades in 1998.
The game's plot is set in the year 2014, where the city of Manhattan has been plagued by crippling lawlessness. With law enforcement seemingly unable to contain the violence, a plan is brought forth by a robotics company known as GiganTech Cyrbertronics Corporation; which plans to create an artifical island called Zenovia, which would be policed
by the corporation's own robots.
As a mass exodus of residents from Manghattan to Zenovia unfolded, authorities realized Gigantech and its CEO were actually part of an underground crime syndicate; which had built a rogue police force of robots, and planned to use the island as a testing ground for its weapons.
In response to the emerging threat of GiganTech, a team of nine freedom fighters known as "Zero-Cops" have assembled to take the corporation down, along with its leaders. The Zero-Cops battle the corporation's henchmen with fast moving Batrider airbikes.
The game has 4 modes of play, including a training mode (a couple of short stages, challenging), normal mode (5 stages), the advanced course (an all out bullet hell shooter), and the special course, a boss battle mode.
