0n Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, you embark on a mission to survey the uninhabited floating city of Xylem. Your primary objective is to deactivate all ECM fog control devices as part of the survey. Here’s a walkthrough to guide you through this intriguing mission:
Mission Overview:
Handler Walter informs you that the source of the Coral coalescence may be coming from Xylem, a floating city abandoned for some time.
Your task is to disable fog generators so you can closely examine what’s happening in Xylem.
Navigating the Fog:
Initially, you’ll maneuver through thick fog. Follow successive beacons marked by blinking red lights.
As you progress, you’ll encounter drones with spherical bombs. Use buildings for cover and proceed toward the first cylindrical device.
Keep following markers until you reach the second nearby generator. Note the rounded platform it’s located on.
Beware of sniper fire and a new transforming enemy type.
Eventually, you’ll find another rounded platform patrolled by a special version of flying mechs with a Combat Log1.
Data and Ambush:
A downed survey drone provides valuable data about the city.
You’ll be ambushed by brawler mechs and drones. Stay mobile and target enemies effectively.
Look for a wreck containing a text data log.
As you approach the next objective, Handler Walter warns of incoming PCA forces, including ACs and a large helicopter.

If you’re on your New Game++ playthrough, the encounter will play out differently.
Dodge quickly, find cover, and activate city defense mechs while dealing with PCA soldiers.
