One of the best fighting games and probably MY personal favorite retro fighting game of all time. The game is part of a trilogy for the Neo Geo but I would argue it's best known as a Genesis game, simply because the Genesis was in a lot more homes than the Neo Geo home arcade console. A lot of people dislike this game because it's difficult. I understand this, but the dislike is not warranted. The game IS difficult, but not frustratingly difficult. It's not difficult because the controls aren't responsive or the graphics are laggy and glitchy, it's difficult because the enemy AI is SMART. The AI is the polar opposite of "Rise of the Robots" where the enemies could be tricked by the very simple strategy of walking into them and spamming punches. The game is a challenge and if you fight smart, using reach, timing, and proper techniques, you WILL beat the enemies. I am sure you can tell just from looking at my gameplay, but the graphics are really smooth with a lot of detail and colors in the various textures. I think graphically speaking, this game gives "Street Fighter 2" a run for its money. The game also has fantastic music, while some may not like the techno-sounding OST, this computerized audio was the industry standard for Genesis back in the day.

Why listen to me over bigger reviewing organizations like IGN, gamespot, G4, or gametrailers? Well, I don't just review games from the eyes of a technical, professional reviewer. I also review games from the perspective of an actual gamer.
