A new contender for the absolute worst game ever made, Rise of the Robots (the Genesis version) sees our blue hero fighting robots in a world of poor framerates, frustrating difficulty, and false advertising. For all of the game's many faults discussed in the video, we can add the least complex fighting engine into the mix. All you do is kick and punch, and the best strategy literally has you holding right and spamming 1 attack button. The most embarrassing thing is, this game was going to be HUGE. It was in all the magazines, it was going to be the new Mortal Kombat, they were talking about movies, TV Shows, TOYS, this was going to be the Transformers of the 90s. Not since Enron have I seen a brand fall face first this hard and this fast. 2 out of 10 is being nice. Apparently there were special moves in the game, but, since I've never seen any robots perform one (nor could I manage to make my character perform specials) I am going to assume this is an urban legend. The game came out for a ton of different consoles, including the Game Gear of all things. I can't even imagine the graphics on the Game Gear...And how did they even get away with selling their "amazing graphics" BS knowing this? OH YEAH, Best graphics of all time guyz, and it's coming to the GAME GEAR!
