Here is the first part of a new series: Artifact vs Dota 2. When I say Artifact vs Dota 2, it is not a comparison of gameplay or mechanics, but rather an analysis of the adaptation from Dota 2 to Artifact. Was the soul of the Dota 2 heroes kept in their Artifact cards?
Today, we take a look at the Artifact red heroes! Going from Axe, to Bristleback, passing by Legion Commander. Overall, I have been really impressed by the Artifact team. They managed to adapt their red heroes very well to their new card game without sacrificing too much of the vibe form the Dota 2 game.
The only exception to this would be Pugna, which feels weird to be placed in Red heroes. It would fit much better in Blue or Black, but like I mentioned in the video, sometimes the Artifact team must've had to sacrifice flavor to balance the game.
This is not an analysis on balance or anything like that, but rather the concept of Artifact and Dota 2.
