The 15th National Championship 2022 for Visually challenged organized by AICFB began on the 5th of April 2022 at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana in Pune. All of the top visually challenged chess players of India including Darpan Inani, Kishan Gangolli, Aryan Joshi, Soundarya Kumar Pradhan, Subhendu Kumar Patra and others are taking part in the 9-round event which will be the qualifying ticket for many tournaments like the Para Asian Games, World Team Championships and World Juniors.

We want to bring you the game of the day from this tournament and on day one it was Aryan Joshi (1909) vs M. Shidad (1432) that showed us an instructive rook endgame from which we can all learn a lot. IM Sagar Shah analyzes the game in depth.
