Will @Ashes of Creation have action or tab style combat? The answer is both. Intrepid Studios is aiming to employ a hybrid combat system in Ashes of Creation blending traditional tab target combat (World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Archeage) with faster paced action combat (BDO, Tera). Players will be able to take up to 75% of their skills as either action or tab, with the other 25% having to be the other type.

This is different from Guild Wars 2 where the abilities themselves can be action or tab, instead abilities will be either action or tab.
