This trick was discovered and reported by YouTube user Christian Ccalla Quispe, basically it allows you to unlock everything earlier in the game, in turn allowing you to 100% complete the game.
This discovery can be useful for speedrunning the game.
I've tested the trick in various different versions (resolutions) of the game, and they all have worked as intended, the only ones that were not tested are the 128x128, 176x208 versions and a rare 96x96 version.
