0Hello and welcome to Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. We begin with Edward Kenway in a naval battle and things go south quickly. We wash up ashore with Assassin named Duncan Walpole. After chasing him down and killing him in a fight, we assume his identity on the idea that it will lead us to treasure. We are also introduced to the present day in a post Desmond world. We play as a nameless, faceless protagonist working for Abstergo Entertainment. What’s the worst that can happen? Back to Edward, on our way to meet Governor Torres, we meet some interesting characters. Woodes Rodgers and Julien du Casse, who we quickly learn are not favourable to the Assassin’s cause. We make our deal under the guise of Duncan Walpole with Governor Torres and before we get our gold we our sworn into some Templar order. We also learn of a place called the Observatory and it sounds like something that could make us very rich.
