Assassin's Creed Mirage Launching a Week Early!

October is set to be a very busy month for video games. There’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Forza Motorsport, Lords of the Fallen, Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Alone In The Dark, Detective Pikachu Returns … I could go on.
What I’m trying to say is the month is positively stacked - and let’s not forget that we’ll still be enjoying Starfield, Mortal Kombat 1, and more from the month prior. October will also see the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Set in ninth century Baghdad, Mirage will star Valhalla’s Basim and is due to be a return to the franchise’s stealth-based roots. It’s thankfully also supposed to feature the smallest AC map in years - and we cannot wait to get our hands on it. Originally, the game was set to release on 12 October but Ubisoft have just announced a release date change. It’s good news though. The game is actually now coming out sooner.
Mirage is now set to come out on 5 October - and it’s officially gone gold. Announcing the news, the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account said: “Assassin's Creed Mirage has gone gold and is coming out a week early! On behalf of the entire team, we can't wait for you to explore [ninth] century Baghdad with Basim. Your journey now starts on October 5. Save the new date!”
‘Gone gold’ essentially means that the game has been shipped. It’s exactly what fans want to hear as it also means it won’t be subject to any further delays. Well, clearly we’re getting the complete opposite. It’s very rare that a game comes out sooner than planned, but we absolutely love to see it.
Not only will Mirage feature a smaller map, but it’s also a much more reasonable length - compared to behemoth’s like Valhalla and Odyssey. I cannot wait to dive in.
