I was replaying Ac unity on my steam deck (yes steam deck bro) and trying to figure out how to record (i still haven't this is ps5 footage). As I was getting through the story, I realized how much I really liked the dark and serious tones of this and any other dark assassin's creed games. I have often said there is fun to be found in Quebec games, but the biggest problem I have with their design philosophy is that they don't seem to respect assassin's creed or let it take itself seriously. every game they make they are always making awful jokes, picking fun at established lore, sometimes disregarding it for strange reasons, and ALWAYS keeping things "happy go lucky". I personally think AC is best when it takes itself seriously. This doesn't mean there can't be humor, but rather that everything inside the game world respects the rules set up by the game and its predecessors. Nothing about the laws of the universe the game is in should be questioned or mocked, and all humor should happen within those parameters. IDk, let me know what you think.
