So I was looking through my files, and... apparently, I'd recorded VPC4 Process+ with every character except Shiitake, so...

Now I've recorded them all. =)

As usual, I started out by trying to figure out a decent opening strat. I was aiming for an Accelerate+Firepower opening, but hadn't managed to find one that was both safe and reliable, so I was in the middle of experimenting with some "letting blue turn into red" strats... when I semi-accidentally came upon this "letting blue turn into yellow" strat instead! The extra time away from the blue powerup not only lets it turn from blue to red to yellow... but also leads most of the enemies away from it, making it safer to grab when you do get back to it. =)

Anyway, given prior experiences with this level (i.e. with the other 8 characters!), I was definitely expecting the Battery to become an issue later on in the level... so I did try to play Shiitake a bit more aggressively than usual, and... it did seem to help. I did still have to make some strategy adjustments in the later sections, but... for the most part, those adjustments had less to do with the Battery drops, and more to do with planning for specific enemies and enemy combinations. ^^

Overall, I had a lot of fun recording this. ^_^ So, anyway... here it is, my first ever Shiitake vs. VPC4 Process+ S+! Hope you enjoy!


A couple minorly interesting/amusing moments from this run:
0:52 Ack, low health, Accelerate just ran out... is there enough room to slip by those bullets...? Whew, made it! ^^
4:25 Eep, can't safely reach that Accelerate! ...eep, can't safely reach that one either! ^^;;
4:36 Oh, blue next to red... might be able to wait here a bit until the red turns yellow...
4:41 Accelerate! =)
